The High Kings are; Finbarr Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Martin Furey and Darren Holden.
Each comes with a highly accomplished musical pedigree from a childhood growing up with Ireland’s finest troubadours and musicians.
Finbarr Clancy played with his father Bobby, and uncles Paddy and Liam, as part of The Clancy Brothers. Brian Dunphy, son of Irish sixties hitmaker Sean Dunphy, was one third of the Three Tenors. Like Darren Holden he toured globally with Riverdance The Show while Martin Furey was raised by folk royalty in the house of Finbar Furey.
Since first supporting Celtic Woman in 2008, The High Kings have sold out hundreds of their own headline shows across Ireland, Germany and the USA. Every one of their studio albums has been a Top 3 hit on the Billboard World Music Chart, two of them going platinum and their live show was television special on PBS across the States. Other career highlights include performing at The White House in Washington DC and London’s Trafalgar Square.
The High Kings showcase their incredible versatility and skills as multi-instrumentalists by playing 13 instruments between them bringing a rousing acoustic flavour to brand new songs as well as some old favourites.
They are a phenomenal live band, serving up laughter and good times in a show they describe as “folk’n’roll”. Their reputation is such, that of the five biggest Irish festivals in the USA this year, The High Kings are a headline act at all five. They also consistently sell-out theatre shows and their next available booking for St Patricks Day is 2020.
